Educational
Discover Anthroplogy, from the Royal Anthropological Institute
Discover Anthropology aims to encourage a wider appreciation and understanding of anthropology by functioning as a hub for communication, gathering information, and accessing events, activities and resources for people interested in learning more about the subject.
Hull Children's Flood Project
Funded by the ESRC, the Environment Agency and Hull City Council, this project engaged with children and young people in Hull about their experiences of flood, flood recovery and the implications for future resilience.
The Association for the Teaching of the Social Sciences (ATSS)
The ATSS is a voluntary group of social science teachers who have joined together to further the interests of social science teaching in secondary schools, colleges and teacher training courses in higher education. It aims to encourage and promote the teaching of the social sciences in primary, secondary, further and higher education.
Technology Enhanced Learning (TLRP-TEL)
The aim of TEL is to improve the quality of learning by using technology to close the gap between what citizens and employees require and what the formal education systems offer. Their latest booklet details all of their current projects (PDF).
TEL comes under the Teaching and Learning Research Programme which undertakes research to improve education and learning.

They offer a number of downloadable resources for young people, such as how to guides and case studies.
Survey Resources Network
An ESRC-funded service to coordinate resources on survey research methods. The website includes resources suitable for teachers and students.
Economic and Social Data Service (ESDS)
The ESDS is a data archive, and is part-funded by the ESRC. Their website provides relevant teaching and learning resources on a number of different subjects.
HumBox Project
The HumBox website provides humanities resources and aims to create a community of humanities specialists who are willing to share their teaching materials.
CeLSIUS
CeLSIUS is part of the ESRC Census Programme. Their website provides subsets of their longitudinal study split into sections such as ethnicity, long-term illness, households, and migration.
STEPS Centre
The STEPS Centre is an interdisciplinary global research and policy engagement hub, funded by the ESRC. Their website has a number of engaging videos, podcasts, articles and publications on a number of different topics.
CHCC (Collection of Historical and Contemporary Census Data and Materials)
CHCC provides resources for students and teachers to use based on census data, split into different subjects and topic areas. There are teaching resources and practical exercises for students to undertake.
Nowgen Schools Genomics Programme
Nowgen's Schools Genomics Programme aims to embed human genomics (the study of genetics and the human genome) into UK science lessons. The programme will bring contemporary scientific research into schools.
Genomics Network
Educational resources about the Genomics Network's social science research on the social impact of developments in genomic science.

Economic and Social Data Service website
One of the UK's major data collections is the ESDS Catalogue, which contains over 5,000 datasets. Among these are 35 social survey datasets which have been tailor-made for teaching purposes.

European Social Survey
The ESS is a good example of an international dataset. Now in its fifth round, the survey is designed to chart and explain the interaction between Europe's changing institutions and the attitudes, beliefs and behaviour patterns of its diverse populations.
Data Archive
The UK Data Archive is the UK's largest collection of digital research data in the social sciences and humanities. Useful guidance and training materials on data sharing and data management can be found at www.data-archive.ac.uk/create-manage
